Strong Interest Inventory®

Helping High School Students Discover the College and Career Paths That Fit Them

Beginning October 8, 2026, Dr. Patti Weiss will be certified to administer the current computer-based Strong Interest Inventory®, one of the most established tools for helping students explore educational and career directions based on their individual interests.

This is not a new area of experience for Dr. Weiss. Between 2009 and 2020, she administered approximately 200 Strong Interest Inventory assessments to students. She is now completing the updated certification program for the current digital version of the assessment.

Who Is It For?

The Strong Interest Inventory can be especially helpful for high school students ages 15–18, including juniors and seniors who are beginning to make important decisions about college, majors, and future careers.

The assessment can help students explore:

• Career fields that closely match their interests

• Potential college majors and areas of study

• Academic and professional environments in which they may thrive

• Career possibilities they may not previously have considered

• How their interests can inform college selection and educational planning

More Than Just a Test

Students complete the Strong Interest Inventory on a computer and receive a comprehensive, personalized report.

Dr. Weiss then helps the student and family understand what those results mean and, most importantly, how they can be applied to real decisions about college, areas of study, and potential career paths.
